Senate Bill 162 signed into law

Senate Bill 162 signed into law on April 14, 2014 by Governor O’Malley.  Dr. Lewis was instrumental in having this bill passed by the House (132-0) and Senate (46-1) with multiple testimonies given in Annapolis. This allows qualified and trained podiatrists to be able to perform surgical management of acute ankle fractures.
